COBIT

COBIT is a guide for the government and IT management. This guide is based on the following principles: meeting the needs of stakeholders, covering the company's end-to-end, applying a single integrated framework of reference, enabling a holistic approach and separate management governance.

We briefly explain each of the key principles used by COBIT:

1) Meeting the needs of stakeholders: COBIT provides a set of processes and catalysts necessary in order to achieve value creation for the business using the different Information technologies. COBIT can be customized for each organization to get the adaptation of corporate goals in such organization.

2) Cover the end-to-end enterprise: COBIT integrates governance and management of information technology governance within the organization. This means that a government or an alternative for IT management does not believe they are treated like any other asset of the organization.

3) Apply a frame of reference only integrated: COBIT aligns with other high-level standards and sets of best practices. These can be displayed on this page as ITIL, CMMI, ISO 27001, etc. The aim of this is to create a single framework containing all the relevant aspects of the standards and get the best form of government and IT management.

4) To enable a holistic approach: COBIT defines a set of catalysts in order to create a comprehensive system for the governance and management of IT. Using this holistic approach aims to make the work of government and management are as effective and efficient as possible.

5) Separate the government management: COBIT establishes a distinction between governance and management. Therefore it separates into two different disciplines, counting each of these disciplines with a different organizational structures. In addition, as there are different disciplines they include different types of activities.
